Consumer Leadership Development The opportunity:
The purpose of the Consumer Leadership Development Program within the Consumer division at WestRock is to provide individualized, detailed development to new industry talent with a focus on career growth to be well rounded and exposed to nearly all aspects of the Business.
Like traditional rotational programs, this program allows the flexibility of learning a wide variety of skillsets across various departments within multiple manufacturing facilities.
Within eighteen to twenty-four months, you will have a thorough understanding of WestRock and its manufacturing processes and be prepared for a leadership role.
How you will impact WestRock:
By partnering with Leaders, rotate through various departments to learn their functionality and importance to the business:
Safety, Quality, Production, Sales, Customer Service, Production planning/scheduling, Finance, Procurement, Operational Excellence, etc.
to ensure thorough understanding of each area in manufacturing.
Gain an understanding of various systems and processes that assist in achieving WestRock's goals.
Act as a team leader and project manager for various projects pertaining to Safety, Operational Excellence, etc.
Earn certifications with multiple functions:
for example OSHA, Green Belt, etc.
Participate in a mentorship program What you need to Succeed:
Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience, preferably in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, etc.
), Operations Management, Supply Chain or a related field Ability to adapt quickly to changing work environments Strong attention to detail Strong leadership skills and an ability to communicate effectively employees at all levels An interest in Manufacturing and/or Corrugated Packaging Ability to organize and prioritize workload Strong focus on safety Must be willing to relocate; relocation assistance provided Heavy travel may be expected.
