We are seeking a talented and experienced Hazard Control Engineer to join our team.
Develop and implement strategies to ensure compliance with federal regulations and achieve top-tier safety standards at the Mill.
Provide proactive environmental and occupational health support to meet zero injury goals.
Accountable for implementing safety management systems to maintain zero injuries and ensure OSHA and Norbord Safety Star compliance.
Responsibilites:
Assess and communicate compliance with safety standards Identify safety training needs and oversee training program development Implement safety tracking systems and metrics Lead strategic safety improvement initiatives for top-tier safety standards Ensure regulatory recordkeeping and reporting compliance Manage air and water permitting regulations adherence Incorporate safety and environmental stewardship into operational planning Accountabilities:
Utilize data-driven analytical troubleshooting methods to identify and execute operational enhancements and address deficiencies.
Deliver operational and engineering training as necessary to support skill development and proficiency.
Manage data to measure and facilitate improvement in reducing variability across operations.
Provide supervision, project management, and planning for capital projects and maintenance shutdowns.
Collaborate with equipment suppliers to enhance knowledge, drive improvements, and rectify deficiencies.
Stay updated on new technical and process advancements within the OSB industry.
Engage with IT to enhance and refine the OSB data acquisition system for online operations.
